Internal Sales Executive

We wish to recruit an Internal Sales Executive who will demonstrate a technical consultative sales style in order to deliver against our long-term business objectives. You will proactively develop our business by identifying and securing new opportunities, maintaining and developing existing customer relationships and providing effective customer service in order to generate ongoing sales revenue.

Sunpower Electronics is a distributor and manufacturer of Switched Mode Power Supplies, DC/DC Convertors and AC/ DC Invertors. Being appointed at the first UK Distributor for the Meanwell range of power products provides us with an enviable market reputation that further reinforces our market position. We deliver both standard and bespoke power solutions to a wide range of electronic manufacturers in the UK, across Europe and internationally.

As this role is predominantly for our Sunpower Electronics entity we would prefer someone with a background in electronics (although not essential) with a proven record of generating new business within technical sales.

Although the position is office based, external visits and practical presentations will also be required to help strengthen customer relationships and promote our products. Attendance at trade shows and supporting overseas distributors may also be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

Usual duties will include:

  • B2B sales and new business generation
  • Maintain & develop existing accounts
  • Outbound cold/warm calling
  • Plan and conduct sales promotional activities
  • Professional customer service with clients

Attributes and skills we are looking for

  • Committed, driven and self-motivated
  • A confident, professional and persuasive manner
  • B2B sales experience in a technical field
  • Ability to understand technical solutions
  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • Willing to travel throughout UK (and occasionally abroad)
  • Good computer literacy (IP Networks, SalesForce and MS Office) and organisational skills
  • Good team-working and interpersonal skills
